PURPOSE:To omit the operating system OS processing time required for the input/output start by detecting the access given to a specific area of a main storage from an arithmetic processor by means of an input/output start device and applying a command to a data input/output channel for the input/output start. CONSTITUTION:Various parameters needed for input/output of data are set at the prescribed positions of a main storage 5 by means of a user program 3. Then an access is applied to a specific area 2 of the storage 5 designated for the input/output start based on the program 3 in order to start the input/ output of data. An input/output start device 1 detects the access specified and applied to the storage 5 for the input/output start and supplies a signal to a data input/output channel 6 to start the input/output of data. Thus it is possible to omit the processing time of an OS 4 needed for execution of the input/output of data required for the user program processing. |
