GOLF CLUB HEAD AND PRODUCTION THEREOF

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the exactness of a head weight adjustment by packing the interfused bodies of the expanded hollow microballs formed by expansion of thermally expandable microballs which contain a foaming agent and are formed of a thermoplastic resin as the outside shell component into the internal space of the head. CONSTITUTION:A prescribed amt. of the thermally expandable microballs 2a which include the foaming agent (e.g. isobutane) and are formed of the thermoplastic resin (e.g. vinylidene chloride/acrylonitrile copolymer) as the outside shell component are packed into the internal space 1a from a forzel hole, 1b of the head 1. The microballs 2a are expanded by heating to pack the internal space 1a with the interfused bodies 2 of the expanded hollow microballs 2b. This method is not only the revolutionary technique in terms of the exactness and workability of the adjustment of the head weight but also much superior to the conventional polyurethane foam packing system in terms of the quality, performance and reliability of the resulted product.
