摘要 In prodn. of hydrocarbons and hydrocarbon polymers of formula R-C(CH3)2-CH-2-C(CH3)2 -CH2-CH = CH-CH2-Cl (I) where R = a hydrocarbon gp., a tert. C-bonded Cl-contg. component of formula R-C(CH3)2-CH2-C(CH3)2-Cl (II) is reacted with 1-10 mol. butadiene in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst in a solvent inert to the catalyst. Molecules are obtd. with reactive end gps. which may be further reacted giving a high degree of functionality. The starting material is pref. an oligomer or polymer of isobutene which is obtd. by cationic polymerisation and which contains on one or all chain ends Cl atoms bonded to tert. C-atoms. The solvent is pref. dichloromethane. 1-10 mole BC13 as a Friedel-Crafts catalyst is used per mole Cl-contg. end gps., and work is carried out at a temp. below O deg.C. The catalyst and/or the solvent are distilled off after the reaction and recycled. Polyisobutylenes of general formula CH2-CH = CH2;R1 are claimed, where R1 = Cl or a gp. obtd. by reaction of the cpd. of formula (I) with ammonia, prim. or sec. amine or polyamine, aminoalcohol, aminoether, hydrazine or a hydrazine substd. upto three-fold.
