Continuously operating press assembly - uses press plates with rollers acting on endless steel bands

The continuously operating press is for the prodn. of thin pressed materials, esp for the mfr. of technical and decorative laminates. It includes a press upper section (2) and a lower section, and endless steel bands (5) in the upper section and the lower section, which are supported on heated press plates (8). Spacing elements (10) are located in the press region on both sides of the steel bands, and they conduct heat. The spacing elements are pref. steel strips. USE/ADVANTAGE - The press is designed so as to minimise steel band information and extend their operational life.
