Procedure for compacting waste consists of successively: (a) feeding the waste into a hopper; (b) grinding to transform into pieces or little bands; (c) separating packaging material from toxic prods. contoured in the packages; (d) compacting to form a block or sausage, continuous or discontinuous; (e) enveloping the output with the aid of a film or mesh of stretchable plastic material which is wound around the block to maintain is cohesion and assure its handleability; (f) cutting the package into lengths; and (g) storage of the lengths.
