<p>A magnetic card member (1) equipped with a magnetic recording layer (3) extending in the whole area between a substrate (2) and a protective layer (4). A belt-like cover member (5) is provided around the periphery of the surface of the protective layer (4) that covers the magnetic layer (3) to protect the magnetic data recorded, and also a cover member (7) is provided around the full peripheral edge of the magnetic card member (1). Accordingly, the peripheral edge portion of the magnetic card, which is likely to wear and degradate with the passage of time, is reinforced to protect the magnetic data recorded in the magnetic layer (3).</p> |
