<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a device which detects a glide of a snow layer directly and delivers an output, by providing a weight at the point of observation of movement of the snow layer so that it can be moved by the movement of the snow layer and by connecting a movement amount detector to this weight. CONSTITUTION:When a snow layer 9 around a weight 2 causes a glide being the sign of a snowslide, the weight 2 is moved with the glide and a wire 3 is pulled. Then a shaft 12 of a potentiometer 1 on which the wire 3 is wound round rotates, a value of the meter 1 changes and the value is delivered to an observation data processing device 6 of an observatory, as a signal showing the amount of movement of the weight 2, i.e. the amount of movement of the snow layer 9. The signal sent to the device 6 is subjected to necessary processings and then displayed 7 together with other relevant data or recorded in a recording device for integration of data, and when the glide is determined as large and dangerous, an alarm is outputted automatically or manually.</p> |
