The resistance hjeater conductors in electrically heated seats and backs of chirs which are separated by a channel are connected together; a wire is incorporated in the upholstery beneath the channel and is exposed by gaps in the channel; the seam in the covering material (fabric, leather or plastics) which is also in the channel has an inserted loop which holds another wire. The two heated areas (seat and back) are connected by copper strips of knitted material and the heater conductors are corrugated where they rest on these copper strips.
