<p>PURPOSE:To attain high speed arithmetic operation by employing only adders for the method in which multipliers have been used conventionally for the multiplication of an input data with a coefficient of an orthogonal transformation matrix. CONSTITUTION:Each of processing elements such as processing elements 111-115 of arithmetic units 110, 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170, 180 is formed identical. In the case of obtaining a value after conversion through matrix calculation between an input data and an orthogonal transformation matrix coefficient, input data are accumulated for each column of the orthogonal transformation matrix coefficient of a same row of the orthogonal transformation matrix and the result of accumulation of each column is matched in response to the column number of the orthogonal transformation matrix coefficient and the total sum of the result of accumulation of each column to be matched is calculated to obtain a value after transformation. Thus, high speed arithmetic operation is attained.</p> |
