Coaxial transmission lines are coupled (3,4) into a cavity (1) tuned by means of a stub (8) on a threaded spindle (9) passing through a nut (10) of triangular pattern tapering in the direction of the shaft (6). - The sides of the triangle are matched to the taper (12) of the shaft (6) so that axial pressure from a hexagonal nut (13) is converted into radial force on the triangular one (10). The latter may have a dia. of 7.7. mm and min. wall thickness 0.5 mm.
