PURPOSE:To keep the secrecy of display contents by forming the polarizing plate on the upper side of the liquid crystal display device formed by inserting a liquid crystal between two sheets of the polarizing plates of a removable type or separate installation type. CONSTITUTION:This device is of the system to change the quantity and color of the light passing two sheets of the polarizing plates disposed on both sides of the liquid crystal layer by sealing the liquid crystal 2 having a twisted structure between an upper transparent electrode 6 and a lower transparent electrode 7 and adjusting the optical rotatory power and double refractiveness of the liquid crystal by an electric field and is exemplified by, for example, a TN type, STN type, active matrix type, etc. Polarizing spectacles set in the direction of the axis of polarization are used without providing the upper polarizing plate on the body or the polarizing plate is placed as the removable type in this case. The display is invisible as it is in this way. |
