PURPOSE:To prevent the consumption of an unnecessary battery by stopping a DC/DC converter or a DC/AC inverter when load is brought to a preset state or less the service interruption of a commercial power supply. CONSTITUTION:When service interruption is generated, an interruption signal is transmitted instantaneously over a control section (e) from a service interruption detector (g). When the value of output currents obtained from an output current detector (h) reaches an expected value or more at that time, this device is supplied with the energy of a battery (f), and the device continues an output. When output currents acquired from the output current detector (h) reaches the expected value or less, on the other hand, the control section (e) stops the oscillation of the DC/DC converter or the DC/AC inverter. That is, when the load side of the uninterruptible power supply equipment is stopped completely or brought to a standby state and output currents reach the expected value or less, the oscillation of the DC/DC converter or the DC/AC inverter is stopped automatically, thus preventing the consumption of a battery. |
