PURPOSE:To facilitate positioning for a body and a door panel and provide a secured assembling condition by forming a projection at a reinforcing insert buried in a terminal and a projecting part which covers the projection in the terminal, and forming a hole at a position for the projecting part in a panel. CONSTITUTION:A terminal of a hollow weather strip 4 made by pressing out and molding sponge rubber is made into the shape fitting to the body panel surface. A molded terminal 5 is connected with it. A reinforcing insert 6 of plating is buried in the terminal 5, whereas the insert 6 is formed with a projection 61 in the raising condition. Also the terminal 5 is formed with a projecting part 51 to cover a projection 61. For assembling the weather strip 4 into an automobile, the weather strip 4 is fit into a retainer installed along a roof side. The projecting part 51 is pressed into a hole 21 formed in the body panel 2 in advance for the projecting part 51 of the terminal 5 for positioning of the terminal 5, and the weather strip is fixed at the body panel 2 by tightening with a set screw 7. |
