发明名称 GENERATION METHOD OF LIGHT PULSE TRAIN
摘要 PURPOSE:To generate a high-speed repetition light pulse train which is not easily obtainable by an electrical control operation by a method wherein a medium provided with an amplification gain with reference to a light pulse is arranged inside an optical resonator and the medium is excited near a laser oscillation threshold value. CONSTITUTION:A parallel-plane Fabry-Perot type optical resonator is constituted by executing reflecting films 12 on both faces of a thin laser crystal 11 as an amplification medium. The laser crystal 11 is fixed to cooling mounts 13 by using a thermally conductive adhesive. The laser crystal 11 is excited by an excitation laser beam 14 and displays an amplification gain with reference to an incident-light pulse 21. When, in this state, the incident-light pulse 21 is incident on the optical resonator constituted of the laser crystal 11 and the reflecting films 12, an incident-light pulse train 22 can be generated. A sapphire which has been doped with titanium is used as the laser crystal 11, and its thickness is set at 500mum. Reflecting films having a characteristic displaying a reflectance of 95% in a region of 750 to 850nm are used as the reflecting films.
