A static interrupter with integrated protector against overcurrents, the interrupter being connected between the poles (1,2;30,31) of a voltage source in series with a load (3,32) and includes at least one semiconductor element (4), and an electrode (4c) for controlling the state of the conductor path between input electrode (4b) and output electrode (4a). The interrupter includes a voltage measurement device (6,7,8) having an input connected to the input electrode and the output electrode and is sensitive to any input voltage above the knee of the threshold set for the high voltage level, so as to provide a signal to the control parameter generator (5) to transfer to the lower state.
