The piece is for use with a main hose (4) having an infusion union (6). An infusion or sampling pipe has a connector (7) inserted in the union, and which punctures a partition (1) in the union in the process. The partition has one or more each fracture (1a) and bending (1b) points. Pressure by the connector breaks the partition and bends it clear. The distance of the partition from the amin hose is such that there is no noticeable effect on the flow through the latter when this is done. The partition can be integral with the union, while after breakage its sections lie against the inside wall of the union. The bottom part of the connector (13) can be of truncated-cone shape, while after breakage the free ends of the partition sections are roughly flush with the main hose wall.
