PURPOSE:To obtain the subject paint having excellent dispersibility of pigment, adhesiveness to a metallic base material and also resistance to hot water of coated film with a low solution viscosity comprising a vinyl chloride-based resin as a copolymer of vinyl chloride and N-substituted maleimide and an organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The aimed paint is composed of a vinyl chloride-based resin as a copolymer of 50-99wt.% vinyl chloride and 1-50wt.% N-substituted maleimide (preferably N-cyclohexyl maleimide or N-phenyl. maleimide) and an organic solvent (e.g., methyl ethyl ketone). Besides, said copolymer preferably contains 0.05-10wt.% polymerizable monomer containing at least a species of the group of hydroxyl group, sulfonic acid group, sulfonate group, carboxyl group, phosphoric acid group, quaternary ammonium acid group and amino group. |
