A method of producing a catalytic complex of aluminium chloride for the catalysis of electrophilic synthesis, in particular for the alkylation of benzene by low-molecular olefins, from a suspension of aluminium chloride, alkyl benzenes and a promoter during which a mixture of alkyl benzenes with benzene containing dissolved hydrochloric acid is introduced into the reaction with aluminium chloride, and, to create a suspension of aluminium chloride in the aromatic hydrocarbons at a temperature of 10 to 90 degrees C, the second component of the mixed promoter, i.e. 1 to 2.6 kg of water is added per 10 kg of aluminium chloride. The initial alkyl benzenes with boiling temperatures from 120 degrees C to 210 degrees C are eliminated in the respective alkylation reaction and the content of hydrochloric acid is achieved by washing the exhaust gases of the alkylation reaction. |
