The reels of paper (9, 10) for wrapping the hamburger are equipped with respective overrunning brakes (26) and with sensors (25) which, when the paper is finished, touch the core (23) of the reel and stop the machine. One of these paper webs carries a series of marks (20) which, when they pass via the cell (21), give rise to the operation of the punching member (11). There is also a rod (40) which separates the end of the minced meat adjacent to the hamburger, and another rod (41) which, when it rises due to an obstruction, touches a microswitch and stops the machine.
