PAPER MONEY/CARD IDENTIFICATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To judge whether an inserted medium is a paper money of a card so as to prevent errorneous insertion excepting the paper money and the card by providing a sensor consisting of a first sensor group and a second sensor group and a shutter mechanism. CONSTITUTION:The shape of an insertion port 2 is formed so that the size of a width is slightly larger than the size of the width of a paper money. Guide walls 2a and 2b guiding the paper money or the card inserted into the insertion port are given to both sides of the port. The tip part 2c of the service-side is formed on a stage and it is devised so that a user can easily take out the card when the card is returned to the insertion port 2 from a mainbody 1. Plural nonreturn pieces 3a-3d which are orthogonal to an insertion direction are provided at the lower internal side of a front cover 1a in the mainbody 1. They are constituted to prevent the insertion of coins and to prevent the insertion of other abnormal medium.
