PRODUCTION OF ION EXCHANGE RESIN

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain the title resin having high strength and useful for removal of impurities in water by impregnating a bifunctional monomer and monofunctional monomer into aromatic crosslinked copolymer grains containing these monomer units, polymerizing these monomers and then introducing an ion exchange functional group therein. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of a bifunctional unsaturated aromatic monomer and monofunctional unsaturated aromatic monomer is uniformly impregnated into aromatic crosslinked grain consisting of a monofunctional unsaturated aromatic monomer and bifunctional unsaturated aromatic monomer and containing <=10wt.% unit derived from a bifunctional unsaturated aromatic monomer and having <=0.2ml/g pore volume per unit wt. and these monomers are polymerized in the presence of a polymerization initiator to produce copolymer grains and then an ion exchange functional group is introduced into the copolymer grains to provide the aimed ion exchange resin having >=0.04m<2> specific surface.
