PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the special attention of an operation for an ordinary user and to allow a special user to use high functions of a device by adopting a secret code recognizing individually the setting of the specific functions. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is composed of a registering means A, a storage means B, an input means C, a deciding means D, and a control means E. An arbitrary character string is registered and stored as the secret code, in accordance with the specific functions. then, the specific functions are designated, and simultaneously, a character string inputted from the input means C is compared with a character string stored in the storage means B, to decide whether they are in coincidence. When an affirmative decision is obtained, the setting of the specific functions can be available. In other words, the secret code recognizing individually the setting of the specific functions is adopted. Thus, the easiness of the operation is secured by limiting the high functions, for the ordinary user, and a peculiar user can sufficiently use the high functions. |
