PURPOSE:To improve high-grade feeling by forming a mark displayed on the surface side of an air bag holding cover by multi-color molding or insert molding. CONSTITUTION:An air bag holding cover 1 is constituted of a surface layer 1A and a core layer 1B made of resin with hardness higher than that of the surface layer 1A, and a fragile shape to easily cleave an air bag when its action is started, e.g., a thin notch shape, is formed on the core layer 1B. A mark 10A displayed on the surface layer 1A is formed by multi-color molding. A core layer forming material is injection-molded in a die to form the core layer 1B, the cavity die is removed, another cavity di with a mark forming space is fitted, and a mark forming material is injection-molded. The cavity die is removed, another cavity die with a surface layer space is fitted, and a surface layer forming material is injection-molded to manufacture the cover 1. |
