PURPOSE:To reduce labor hours at a time when the level surface of ink in an ink bag is recognized by locking an ink cartridge when the level surface of ink in the ink bag is brought to a specified level surface or above and releasing the ink cartridge when the level surface is made lower than the specified level surface. CONSTITUTION:A first lock member 19 is lowered by the elastic force of coil springs 16, 17, the vertical end face of the first lock member 19 is abutted against the vertical end face of a second lock member 22, and the first and second lock members 19, 22 are engaged, thus locking an ink cartridge 20 in the direction of removal (the opposite direction to the arrow A). A recording head is supplied with ink in an ink bag 25 through a hollow ink needle, etc. under the state, and recording is enabled. When ink in the ink bag 25 is consumed and the level surface of ink is brought down gradually, the ink bag 25 is shrunk and the height of the ink bag is lowered, thus making the second lock member 22 descend. When the level surface of ink in the bag 25 is made lower than a level surface capable of recording, the engagement of the first lock member 19 and the second lock member 22 is released, and the ink cartridge 20 is unlocked. |
