PURPOSE:To remove a foreign matter adhering near the nozzle port of a recording head and functioning as the factor of no-discharge of ink positively by providing an ink flow-rate variable means changing an ink inflow value by an ink inflow means in response to the printing hysteresis of the recording head. CONSTITUTION:When a control command indicating the start of storage opera tion is input from a host equipment 60, the CPU 51 of a printing control section 50 compares the number of discharge driving regarding each nozzle port 12 of recording heads 1A-1D stored in the driving-number storage area of a RAM 53 with reference number (three thousand times). Consequently, the ink inflow time regarding the recording head is brought to two sec when there is the nozzle port 12, the number of discharge driving of which is three thousands or more, and the ink inflow time is brought to one sec regarding the recording head having no nozzle port 12, the number of discharge driving of which is three thousands or more. An ink force-feed control circuit 58 drives ink force feed means 14A-14D corresponding to each recording head 1A-1D according to driving indication from the CPU 51, thus forcibly flowing in ink, then conducting discharge recovery operation. |
