PURPOSE:To effectively prevent resin material from fusing together and, at the same time, efficiently carry out dehumidification by a method wherein the predetermined amount of pellets is housed in a hopper, heated with a heating zone and, at the same time, air is blasted upwards in the hopper through nozzles, which are provided on the lower part side of the hopper. CONSTITUTION:A heating zone 14, which is provided on the outer peripheral side of the cylinder of a hopper 10, is a microwave heater and heats and dehumidifies pellets 12. In addition, in the hopper 10, air fed with a blower 32 is blasted through nozzles 28 in a diffuser 24 so as to blow the pellets 12 in the diffuser 24 upwards to the upper part of the hopper 10 in order to be accumulated outside the diffuser 24 and passed through through holes 26 at the bottom side of the diffuser, resulting in forcibly and circulatingly moving the pellets in the hopper 10 so as to be allowed to uniformly heat the pellets. Further, by being blown up so as to float in air in the hopper, the pellets can be effectively prevented from being fused together at heating and efficiently dehumidified.
