PURPOSE:To enable either defect of an interlock switch or a defect of a load to be easily discriminated by a method wherein a means which detects the defect of the load and the interlock switch is provided and at the same time when the defect of the load is generated, an operation signal is supplied to another load connected to the same power line as that of said load. CONSTITUTION:Defects of an interlock switch and defects of a load are stored in a memory 62 of a controller 50. A defect kind discriminating means 54 compares a load defect detection signal from a sensor 60 with a defect kind signal read from the memory 62 to judge either defect to be generated one. For instance, when a defect is generated to a halogen lamp 34 in a thermal development transfer part 28 and it is detected with a temperature sensor that temperature of a heating drum 30 does not rise appropriately, an operation signal is supplied to an exposure head driving motor connected to the same power line as that of the lamp 34. Then, time while the motor is rotated one revolution or more is set to a timer 72. When the motor is rotated until time up, the halogen lamp 34 is judged to be abnormal. If the motor is not rotated even after time up, the interlock switch 70 is judged to be abnormal. |
