PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new resistance heating element which is excellent in an electric resistance characteristic and a mechanical characteristic by forming glass or ceramics as a matrix, and preparing a composite material by using a metallic particle as a composite phase. SOLUTION: Glass (such as crystallized glass, general purpose glass and non-oxide type glass) or cermaics (such as Al2 O3 and ZrO2 ) is formed as a matrix, and a resistance heating element composed of a composite material is prepared by using a metallic particle as a composite phase. One or more kinds selected from Ti, V, Cr, Zr, Nb, Mo, Hf, Ta, W, Fe, Ni, Co, Cu, Al, Mg, Zn and these alloy, stailess steel, permalloy and super heat resistance alloy, are used as the metallic particle, and a shape is formed in a flat shape, and the volume rate is set to 5 to 70%. Therefore, a resistance heating element which can be used up to about 1400 deg.C and is excellent in an electric resistance characteristic and a mechanical characteristic can be obtained. |
