IMPROVED THERAPEUTIC APPLIANCE An improved therapeutic appliance which is peculiarly adapted for the sacrum, lumbar and thoracic region of the body is disclosed. In essence, the corset or belt appliance comprises an elongated support surface formed from material that is bendable when subjected to forces encountered thereby. Disposed on said support surface and secured thereto along its edges is a flexible cover disposed thereto to form an envelope. The envelope is provided with a means of introducing fluid therein and retaining same, thus inflating said envelope causing said surface to bend to assume a predetermined curvature, which is preferably in the shape of a crecent. The support surface is further equipped with a means removably securing the free ends of same to the wearer. |
