PURPOSE:To reduce a drying degree of ink effectively and operate a printing smoothly by providing ports for a porous film on both sides of a thermal head so as to surround the head, openable shutters at the ports, a sealing case to be sealed by the shutters, and a lead tape mounted on both sides in the direction of take-up and rewind of the porous film. CONSTITUTION:When an image recorder is stopped or on standby, a porous film 53 is taken up by a film take-up roller 7 and a lead tape 10A fixed to other film take-up roller 8 is positioned in a part connecting with the outside air. After completion of an operation, sealing shutters 4 and 5 close interposing the lead tape 10A and a sealing case 55 is sealed so that a dryness inside thereof can be prevented effectively and a sticking due to the dryness can be prevented. When the image recorder is operated, the lead tape 10A at the part contacted with the outside air is taken up by the film take-up roller 8 where the porous film 53 is positioned and a thermal head 54 contacts with the porous film so as to start an image formation. Thus, a fill-in of the porous tape and the sticking to the thermal head can be prevented effectively. |
