PURPOSE:To reduce the maximum speed and enable the super finish at high speed and with high efficiency without damaging a device by lowering the rotating speed of a motor against the usual speed in a phase which makes the acceleration maximum and reverse the direction of reciprocating movement. CONSTITUTION:A super finishing grinding stone 9 reciprocating on the surface to be processed repeatedly and a motor 4 for driving this grinding stone 9 are comprised. A motor rotating speed control means 6 for controlling the rotating speed of the motor 4 so that the detected rotating speed of the motor 4 in a phase which reverse the direction of this reciprocating movement is maintained under the relatively lowered condition is provided, and this motor rotating speed control means 6 controls the rotating speed of the motor 4 so that the rotating speed of the motor 4 is maintained under the relatively increased condition in a phase except for a phase which reverse the direction of the reciprocating movement. |
