PURPOSE:To reduce the capacity of a necessary memory by using the frame memory of a frame difference detection circuit together with the frame memory of other circuits. CONSTITUTION:An input digital video signal subjected to three-dimensional sub-sampling is supplied to a frame memory 2 whose delay time is a one frame period, and the output of the memory 2 is supplied to a frame memory 3 whose delay time is a one frame period. The output of an input signal and the memory 2 are supplied to a one frame motion detection circuit 16, and a one frame difference signal from this is supplied to a one frame motion detection circuit 23, and a one frame motion amount signal is outputted. The output of memories 2 and 3 are supplied to a one frame difference detection circuit 11. The output of the input signal and the memory 3 are supplied to a two frame difference detection circuit 4, and the difference signal is supplied to a two frame motion detection circuit 8. The signal from the circuit 8 is supplied to a gate circuit 9, and the two frame motion amount signal is outputted when the level of the difference signal from the circuit 11 is less than prescribed value. |
