FIELD: machine mechanical engineering; executive devices of machine tools and automatic transfer lines. SUBSTANCE: cylinder has housing 1 with longitudinal slot, end face covers 3 with holes to let working medium in and out, piston 4 installed for forming working spaces 6 and 7, output member 5 rigidly coupled with piston, sealing tape 8 and tape 10 and flexible support member 13 installed for engagement through edges of slot with sealing tape 8. Support member 13 is made in form of oval section bushing with longitudinal slot and side centering lobes 14 arranged in longitudinal axial plane for engagement with diametrically opposite walls of housing 1. Width h of slot, with member 13 in free state, is less than width H of sealing tape and exceeds width H of sealing tape in places of engagement with piston 4.
