PURPOSE:To improve the operability by entering picture information as a picture forming condition data for function setting and applying setting processing to the data when an original sheet read by prescanning is discriminated to be special format paper. CONSTITUTION:An image of a reflected light from an original is formed on a CCD line sensor 300. The charge stored at the CCD line sensor for all picture in the lump is transferred to a shift register and shifted by a shift clock from a synchronization control circuit 309 and outputted as a picture signal. In this case, whether or not an original sheet is specific format paper is discriminated based on whether or not an electric signal at a scanning position of one focus or over represents a prescribed identification mark and when the paper is discriminated to be the special format paper, the picture information of the electric signal is inputted as a picture forming condition data and when the input setting is implemented, the picture forming is controlled not to be executed. Thus, the picture forming condition is sent from the picture information for the special format paper to eliminate the need for complicated key operation thereby improving the operability. |
