<p>PURPOSE:To effectively control operation of a microprocessor by controlling the operation of the microprocessor by controlling the input of a clock signal from an oscillation circuit and controlling clock signal frequency. CONSTITUTION:A clock control circuit can control the input and the stop of the clock signal from the oscillation circuit 2 to the microprocessor 1A in accordance with the data processing period of the microprocessor, and simultaneously, since DC potential is impressed to the clock input terminal of the microprocessor 1A at the time of the stop of the clock signal, it can hold data processing for a while until the next clock signal is inputted. Thus, the operation of the microprocessor 1A can be controlled to a necessary minimum, and simultaneously, power consumption can be reduced.</p> |
