The machine incorporates a rotary disc 10 on which are mounted, distributed radically and in an equiangular manner, a plurality of cylinders 12 ending in corresponding clamps 13 said disc 10 being subjected to an intermittent rotary movement so that, at each stop and for each clamp, there is a specific operating phase, namely a first phase in which each clamp 13 takes a cocktail stick 16 from a hopper 27 and, with the collaboration of the corresponding metering mechanism, another series of operational phases in which the cocktail stick, already secured in the clamp 13, pricks into various products supplied by hoppers 39 and by conveyor belts 47 and 48, the former being for round products such as olives and the latter for strip-type products such as pimento past or anchovy, the cycle being completed with an operation phase in which the clamp 13 opens so that the finished savoury appetiser on a stick 17,18,19,20,21 can fall into the corresponding collector. Provision has also been made for a duplicate set of mechanisms for parallel duplication while the machine is in production. <IMAGE>
