PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording and reproducing device which can check recording and reproducing of a real time with inexpensive and simple constitution. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a light beam radiating source 2 generating a recording light beam which is amplitude-modulated based on the present recording signal and forms a recording part by irradiating a phase variation type optical disk medium 11, a diffraction grating 4 dividing the recording light beam, an optical system 10 collecting a side light beam divided and formed on a recording part directly before on the optical disk medium, an optical detector 23 detecting a reflected light reflected from a recording part directly before of the side light beam and making it a read-out signal, and a normalizing means 25 generating a recording check reproducing signal of the recording part directly before by normalizing the read-out signal based on the present recording signal basing on a laser off level as a reference. |
