VERIFICATION METHOD/SYSTEM FOR DATA BY SCRAMBLING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce processing time on data verification and to verify mass information by scrambling data by means of a verification station independent of an entity managing a data source and a user to which data is given through the use of a control word and ciphering the control word through the use of a ciphering algorithm by a key KA. SOLUTION: A scrambling/ciphering device 3 forming a part of the independent verification station generates a scrambling item IE(ECG1) and a ciphering control word E (CW1) KA by using the algorithm by the key KA from the item ECG1 which is stored in the information source 1 and which is not ciphered and sends them to a verification collation device 7 supplied to the user through a data base 2 forming a part of the entity containing the information source 1. The verification collation device 7 releases scrambling and generates the item ECG1. Thus, the processing time of data verification can be reduced and mass information can be verified.
