PURPOSE:To enable the maintaining of ink meniscus stably with a simple construction by varying the height of an ink reservior depending on whether any air current exists or not in an inkjet recorder using air current. CONSTITUTION:Where no air current is fed to an inkjet head, the air pressure in a bellows-elastic member 15 turns to the atmospheric pressure to bring the liquid surface 18 of an ink reservior 111 to the height almost the same as the ink discharge port. On the other hand, when air current is sent to the inkjet head, a pressure is applied to the ink in the ink reservior 111 while with the extension of the elastic member 15, the ink reservior 111 is pushed down according to the air pressure. This makes the ink pressure almost equal to the air pressure generated near the ink discharge port to maintain the meniscus of the ink developed at the ink discharge port stably and thus, always provides stable ink and air supply systems without any pressure controlling mechanism. |
