COMMUNICATION NETWORK, DATA TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING SERVICE FROM CENTRAL STATION TO PLURAL TERMINAL DEVICES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method which is effective and advantageous in terms of a cost for improving the performance of an existent CATV system, so as to provide compressed digital video(CDV) for a broadcasting television channel and for improving the allocation of power /Hz through an mFN-HFC network. SOLUTION: A communication network and method provides communication between a central station 110 and a terminal device 1841 (EU). A first communication medium is connected to between the station 110 and an intermediate node. A second communication medium is connected to between the station 110 and plural mini fiber nodes 1661 . The intermediate node is connected to each mini fiber node and as a result, analog broadcasting service can be sent to each node 1661 through the first communication medium. In addition, switching digital service and digital broadcasting service are also sent to each of the nodes 1661 through the second communication medium. The mini fiber nodes combine signals and send the combined signal to the subset of the corresponding terminal devices 1841 .
