PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recording and reproducing device capable of reducing or minimizing secondary distortion at the time of reproduction in a short lead time or a short waiting time. SOLUTION: This recording and reproducing device is provided with a recording laser diode 2 for emitting a recording laser beam that forms a recording pit on an optical disk 11 based on a supplied recording or reproducing power or emitting a reproducing laser beam by which the recording pit so formed is irradiated; provided with a recording power correcting means 27 which receives the reproducing laser beam emitted to the recording pit to form a reproducing signal, which detects an aimed signal level from the reproducing signal, and which transmits a recording power correcting signal based on the aimed signal level; and provided with an automatic power control(APC) circuit 28 which controls the output of the recording laser diode 2 based on the recording power correcting signal. |
