PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an image forming device to be used as a magnetic ink character recognition(MICR) printer by exchanging a process cartridge by setting the parameter of an image forming process according to the type of the process cartridge loaded at a cartridge loading part. SOLUTION: The process cartridge U2 having an image carrier, a developing unit and a toner recovery container is loaded in a cartridge loading space V so as to be freely loaded and unloaded. In the parameter storage means of a parameter change device, the parameters of the image forming process respectively used when the cartridge U2 loaded in the space V is the normal cartridge and when it is an MICR cartridge forming a ferromagnetic toner image which can be magnetically read are stored. By the parameter change means, the parameter of the image forming process is set according to the type of the cartridge U2 loaded in the space V. |
