PURPOSE:To prevent the trouble of impression throw-off and to minimize spoilage by transmitting an impression throw-off order to three cylinder units and three cylinder units on the upstream side thereof on the basis of the paper drop signal obtained when paper drop is detected during printing by the detector of either one of three cylinder units. CONSTITUTION:When a timing sensor 9 detects a corner (a) in a Y-direction, a paper presence sensor 10 detects the presence of paper. Therefore, when there is a paper 2 on an impression cylinder 1, the paper presence sensor 10 detects the presence of the paper 2 and, since there is the contact position with a blanket cylinder on the backward side from a notch part 7 on the impression cylinder 1, an impression throw-in command is transmitted to three cylinder units by utilizing the contact position to carry out impression throw-in to perform predetermined printing. When the paper presence sensor 10 detects the absence of paper, an impression throw-off command is transmitted not only to three cylinder units and three cylinder units on the upstream side thereof but also to a sheet controller and a paper feed stop command is also issued to the paper feed stop solenoid provided in the vicinity of a front gauge sensor. That is, a paper drop command is issued. |
