PURPOSE:To easily serve tasteful and nice tea by pouring ice water, produced by melting ice by means of hot water, in a container, and filtering leaching liquid of well-steamed tea leaves through a filter removably engaged with the upper end opening part of the container to pour the leaching liquid. CONSTITUTION:A container l made of clear glass is formed such that a vacuum heat insulating layer 4 is formed by bleeding air in a space between container walls 2 and 3, formed in a double of the inside and the outside, and bringing the space into a pressure reducing state of approximate 150mmHg. A pinch of well steamed tea leaves 10 are placed in the container l and ice water 11 is prepared by melting ice by means of hot water and poured in the container l. This way completely causes escape of chlorine for sterilization contained in supply water and prevents a chlorine smell inherent to supply water from smelling. By lightly shaking the container l, the tea component of the well steamed tea leaves is leached in ice water. The interior of the container l under the progress of leaching is kept at 0 deg.C by means of ice. After a lapse of several or several tens minute, the leaching liquid is caused to pass through a filtering cloth 8 of a filter 5 by inclining the container l, and by pouring the liquid in a tea bowl through a pouring port 6, cold tea can be drunk. |
