PURPOSE:To feed the transfer sheet of the same size in plural paper feeding cassettes, to carry out selecting sequentially and to obtain a large number of copies inexpensively with a simple control circuit by returning copying sequence up to original size detecting sequence, when the paper feeding cassette during operation has no transfer sheet. CONSTITUTION:The number of copies is set by a button for setting the number of sheets 102. When a copying button is depressed, an operational optical system 20 is operated by the controlling of a control part 100, shifting to the original size detecting sequence is carried out by an APS sensor 72, and a paper feeding cassette 60 to be needed is selected based on the detected original size, according to order set in advance. When the presence of the transfer sheet P on the paper feeding cassette 60 is confirmed by a paper sensor 62, a copying action is carried out. When the transfer sheet P of the paper feeding cassette 60 during operation is runs short for the copying sequence, and replenishing is needed, the original size detecting sequence is obtained again, and the paper feeding cassette 60 having the transfer P of the detected size is sequentially retrieved according to the order set in advance. Simultaneously, it is confirmed whether the transfer sheet P is present thereon or not at the inside of the cassette, and the copying action is continued again when the transfer sheet P is present thereon. |
