PURPOSE:To make compact the size of a high voltage power source and stabilize the output characteristics of the power source by installing an insulation partioning board having a through hole insulation oil, and laying out a step-up transformer on the upper side of said insulation partitioning board and further installing a cooler in a spot near a high elevation of the insulation partitioning board on the outside wall of a transformer vessel. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a transformer vessel 40 filled up with insulation oil 39 is partitioned top and bottom with an insulation partitioning board 38 having through holes 45 and 46 where a step-up transformer is laid out in the upper part chamber A while a rectifier circuit is laid out in the lower part chamber B. At the same time, coolers 47 and 48 are installed at a spot near the elevation of the insulation partitioning board 38 on the outside wall of the transformer vessel 40. This construction makes it possible to maintain a ferrite core 35 of the step-up transformer 32 at a high temperature and prevent the fluctuations in the output characteristics. At the same time, it is arranged that a rectifier diode 35 in a rectifier circuit and a smoothing capacitor 34 are constantly cooled so as to prevent the drop in service life. Moreover, both the step-up transformer 32 and the rectifier circuit are laid out in the same transformer vessel 40, which makes compact the size of the power source as well. |
