Method for attachment of a filter sac on a filter segment, as well as filter sac. Filter sac 1 is mounted on filter segment 6, the mounting opening is closed and the filter sac 1 shrunken so that it encloses filter segment 6 tight. According to the method, the narrower end of the filter sac 1 is tightened against filter segment 6 with a sealing edge 3 situated in the narrower end of filter sac 1, which shrinks more strongly and at a lower temperature than the filter material. Filter sac 1 is produced from a liquid-permeable material that shrinks when heated so that it has a mounting opening through which filter segment 6 can be introduced to filter sac 1. Sealing edge 3 fixed in the filter material is situated in the narrower end of filter sac 1 produced from the material that shrinks more strongly and at lower temperature than the filter material. <IMAGE>
