DEVICE FOR PROTECTION FROM SHORT CIRCUIT IN DEVICES FOR ELECTROCHEMICAL PROCESSING

The device is used in electrochemistry. It is a multiple-action device used for eliminating short circuits and preventing the operating conditions when they occur. The device incorporates an impedance-matching transformer (1) with its primary winding connected in series to the working electrodes circuit (2), while the secondary winding is connected to a protection circuit in series with the DC diagonal of the thyristor bridge (3) in the AC diagonal of which are connected in series a switch over capacitor and a current sensor (5). A charging device (6) is connected in parallel with the switch over capacitor (4). Sensors are connected in parallel to the working electrodes (2), which respond to minimal voltage (8) and voltage decay rate (9). The terminals of the sensors are (5, 8 and 9) are connected to the control unit (12) of the thyristor bridge (3) through logical circuits (10 and 11).
