PURPOSE:To downsize an apparatus and simplify positioning of a pressing member by a method wherein a pressing piece which presses a container outer periphery upper part of the apparatus which welds a synthetic resin lid having a metallic layer to a synthetic resin container is elevatable and an elastic body having said pressing piece at the lower end of its inner peripheral face is a single unit with a plurality of vertical split grooves formed. CONSTITUTION:A mount 1 for mounting a container body 11 with a lid 10 put on and a pressure applying body 2 relatively move vertically, so that the pressure applying body 2 is fit into a recess at the center of the lid 10 and the lid 10 is fit into an opening of the body 11. A cylindrical elastic body 3 is formed with a plurality of vertically split grooves 7 wherein the grooves are opened upward and downward alternately, so that the entire body can be elastically deformed uniformly. Then an assembling groove 14 is formed at the lower end, a pressing piece 5 is fitted into the groove 14, and a peripheral groove formed at the upper end is fitted into a fixed member 13 freely slidably. The elastic body 3 forms a tapered face 6 extending downward at a lower part of an outer peripheral face, a lift body 4 lowers, a pressing part 8 presses the tapered face 6 to have them welded with a container upper end part, the pressing piece 5 and the pressure applying body 2, high frequency current is made flow to a heating coil 9, and the lid and the body are welded to each other. |
