DEVICE FOR DECODING PLURAL PICTURES

PURPOSE:To accelerate a processing by sharing a memory for storing a predictive source data by plural decoding circuits. CONSTITUTION:Adistributor 9 monitors decoding circuits 1-3 and input buffers 4-8 and when detecting the end of the processing, encoded data are taken out of the input buffers, inputted to the decoding circuits and decoded there. The predictive source data of five pictures are stored in a memory 19 for storing the predictive source data and can be accessed from any one of decoding circuits 1-3 and therefore, the data is decoded which ever picture data is distributed. The decoded data distributed by a redistributor 10 are temporarily stored in output buffers 11-15 and read out synchronously with an external signal.
